SCRIP means “substitute money”. When you purchase Scrip, you’re purchasing negotiable gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash. Scrip may be used to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, gas, groceries, travel, dining out, video rentals, home improvements and other essentials, and with every purchase you earn revenue for SJA and your son’s/daughter’s tuition. Parents, friends, relatives and teachers can purchase SCRIP directly from SJA.

How does it work? Scrip is purchased with cash up front. Participating retailers offer a substantial discount (2% to 15% or more) which becomes our revenue source. We split the percentage with 50% going to SJA and 50% to your account prior to re-registration in March. Your portion is placed in your account, just before re-registration in March. If you do not have a student at SJA, you will receive a gift certificate for your SHARE activity.

Scrip Process: Orders need to be received by 8:30 a.m. on Mondays. Orders MUST be accompanied by a check or cash in the correct amount. Each family will be given a family account number which needs to appear on each order. Scrip is delivered on the following Friday. Scrip orders are sent home with students or you may pick up your order from the front office.

SCRIP-TO-GO A small inventory of the most popular gift cards is available from the front office. Scrip –To-Go Forms are available on the counter at the front office and these cards may be purchased on the spot if in stock. We will, of course, be more than happy to assist you in ordering your preferred gift cards should they not be available as Scrip-To-Go.
